Wheel Repair Technician - Carlock Automotive Recon Center
Carlock Automotive Group, a family-owned dealership group since 1967, is hiring a Wheel Repair Technician for our centralized Recon Center. You'll refinish and repair alloy wheels for pre-owned inventory across our franchise rooftops - including Porsche, Toyota, Honda, and Volkswagen stores - keeping recon cycle times fast and front-line quality high.
What You'll Do
  • Repair curb rash, scratches, gouges, and minor bends on alloy wheels
  • Sand, prime, paint, and clear-coat wheels to OEM-match finish
  • Color-match paint and finishes (machined, painted, hyper silver, powder coat)
  • Straighten wheels within safe tolerances; flag wheels that can't be safely repaired
  • Mount, balance, and inspect tires as needed
  • Maintain equipment, inventory of materials, and a clean, safe work area
  • Meet daily production targets while holding a luxury-line quality standard

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of wheel repair/refinishing experience (dealership, recon, or mobile wheel repair)
  • Paint and finish-matching skills; CNC lathe experience a plus
  • Ability to assess repairability and make the safe call
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable with high volume
