To succeed as a Western Governors University (WGU) employee, a background in higher education, instructional design, or administration—often supported by a relevant degree—is typically required. Familiarity with learning management systems (such as Canvas), student information systems, and online communication tools is important. Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a commitment to student success help employees stand out in this online educational environment. What is WGU?

WGU stands for Western Governors University, which is an accredited, nonprofit online university based in the United States.
