Job description

About Wet Noses Natural Dog Treat Company, LLC
Wet Noses Natural Dog Treat Company, LLC is a premier manufacturer and marketer of natural pet treats in the US — both branded and private label. We are pioneers in the naturalization of pet consumables; our products are best-in-class, non-GMO, and human-grade, with no preservatives or artificial ingredients. We operate out of an 80,000 square foot, SQF III certified facility, producing dog food, and treats for both dogs and cats.
Wet Noses was founded in 1998 around a simple concept: if you wouldn't eat it, don't feed it to your dog. We believe less is more and fresh is best — so we source incredible ingredients from growers we trust, and we never let our recipes, our ideas, or our passion get stale. Every day, we show up driven by the same mission: to craft the best dog treats on the planet, and to keep raising the bar until we get there.
Job Description
At Wet Noses, the Baking Supervisor is at the heart of our production floor — a hands-on leader who keeps our Baking Department running smoothly, safely, and at the quality standard our customers and our mission demand. You’ll coordinate daily production flow, drive team performance, and ensure every baking process meets our rigorous food safety and quality standards. Working closely with the Baking Department Manager and cross-departmental leaders, you’ll keep communication strong between shifts and set the tone for a team that takes pride in what they make. The night shift Baking Supervisor hours are from 10:00pm - 6:30am.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and actively assist Bakers and Baking Leads in daily production activities.
  • Coordinate staffing, workflow, and daily production schedules to meet department goals.
  • Communicate effectively with other department Leads and Supervisors to ensure seamless operations across shifts.
  • Oversee and operate industrial ovens, dryers, and other baking equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform various forklift duties and assist with staging and pulling ingredients as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with proper sanitation procedures and lead equipment cleaning efforts.
  • Train, coach, and develop new and existing employees to ensure accuracy, safety, and quality performance.
  • Manage crew responsibilities, delegate tasks, and maintain accountability for completion.
  • Identify, report, and correct operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate batch sheets, logs, and production reports; verify all documentation is completed and submitted properly.
  • Monitor ingredient usage and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Maintain all baking machinery and promptly communicate mechanical or safety issues to Maintenance and the Baking Manager.
  • Maintain organization of work areas, product, and materials in accordance with company standards.
  • Follow and enforce established procedures, including weights and measurements, health, sanitation, and food safety standards.
  • Champion a clean, safe, and energized work environment — model Wet Noses' safety and sanitation standards and hold the team to the same high bar.
  • Build a positive, inclusive team culture; address personnel matters with professionalism and care.
  • Contribute to team results by completing related duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Proven ability to coach and develop employees effectively.
  • Experience in managing processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A calm, composed presence in a fast-paced environment — someone others naturally look to for direction.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communicator who builds trust across teams and manages competing priorities with composure.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • High integrity — someone who takes ownership, follows through, and lifts those around them.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Benefits
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance.
  • Paid Time Off and Holidays.
  • 401K Retirement Plan with a 20% company match.
  • Discounts on pet food and treats.
  • Opportunities for career growth within a collaborative and supportive work environment.
