InnoTECH Staffing is looking to hire a fulltime permanent Coatings Technician for a materials company in the Boston area. Candidate must be able to work onsite 5 days a week and there is no sponsorship.

In this role, you'll be hands-on with our advanced coating portfolios, running experiments, and helping the company solve big problems for global consumer electronics and automotive brands.

***** The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience working as a technician in an industry lab environment and have wet lab exposure and / or experience directly with coating processes.

The company is a materials technology company in the Boston area. With a strong global technical team, they develop and manufacture coatings that protect printed circuit boards in electronics, allowing them to function in water-laden environments. They work with the biggest brands in the consumer electronics and automotive industries to increase product reliability and improve product performance in wet and humid conditions. Not only do they provide a portfolio of coatings, but they also work closely with their customers to help solve some of their most difficult problems through rapid innovation and ingenuity.

About this Role

We are seeking a Coatings Technician to support our local and field-deployed technical service team members. This role will focus on understanding application methodologies of their advanced coating portfolio. Previous experience in a wet chemistry or coatings lab environment is desirable. An associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related discipline is preferred, though not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with technical service team members on coating samples for customers and maintaining and logging samples sent by customers.
  • Support various team members on designing and conducting experiments and data consolidation while maintaining independent timelines.
  • Collaborate with our global sales and global technical services teams to provide creative solutions to our customers and improvements to our application methodology.
  • Develop preventative maintenance schemes for dispense equipment and provide regular maintenance support.
  • Maintain laboratory conditions in a fashion that facilitates cleanliness and productivity for all lab users.
  • Assisting with shipment of hazardous materials internationally and domestically

This position is based in Malden, MA, accessible via the Orange Line.


The expected annual base salary for this position is $55,000–$79,470. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity. This position may also be eligible for additional benefits and incentive programs, where applicable.
