Required Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate must have:
- Hands-on mechanical experience with blow molding equipment.
- Strong mechanical skills in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing production machinery.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems is preferred.
- Experience with filler equipment is a plus.
- Ability to complete changeovers and machine adjustments.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and make good decisions during production.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills to enter work orders and maintenance notes.
Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to:
- Lift up to 75-100 lbs when needed.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift.
- Work in a loud, fast-paced production environment.
- Work around production equipment, moving parts, and wet areas.
- Follow all required PPE and safety rules.
Work Expectations
This is a hands-on position. The Blow Molding Mechanic must be reliable, safety-focused, and able to respond quickly when equipment issues happen. The main goal of this position is to
keep the blow molder running, reduce downtime, support production, and maintain bottle quality.
