Job description

Millwork Engineering Manager JBI LLC., dba Western Millwork Arizona’s largest manufacturer and installer of Architectural Millwork and Casework seek experienced Engineering Manager to head drafting/engineering department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage and direct in-house and overseas engineering/drafting staff to develop submittal drawings, process drawings, and programming of shop machinery for commercial millwork and casework fabrication. • Maintain schedules of drawing production to meet contractual commitments as well as programming for facility needs. • Conduct group drawing reviews with associated managers and ownership for quality and accuracy. • Define, implement and maintain tools, library, and methodology to support drawing quality/efficiency, and production. • Manage and maintain software updates and licenses. • Provide technical support and training to the department related to procedure, methodology, and manufacturing standards. Develop and document standards. • Maintain document archive and retrieval for past projects. • Work closely with the Project teams to debug problems and resolve issues.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred • 5+ years engineering experience in architectural millwork manufacturing. • High proficiency in AutoCAD • Experience with Microvellum required • Knowledge of CNC programming and operations • Knowledge of AWS manufacturing and materials standards • Proven ability to provide training to staff on new tools and features. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Must be self-motivated and team oriented. • Must be comfortable steering a deadline driven schedule. • Must have strong time management capabilities
