Job description

Houston Methodist West is seeking a general outpatient Neurologist to join an expanding practice of 2 physicians and 1 APP. Primary responsibility is to provide expert clinical care for patients with neurological conditions, including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of neurological conditions.

Located on the hospital campus in West Houston/Katy, this is a wonderful opportunity in a thriving medical community in one of the fastest growing suburbs of the Houston metropolitan area.

Houston Methodist West provides a full spectrum of services designed to serve the region’s neurology needs with a unique patient-centered care philosophy.

Services include:

  • Neurosurgery program providing diagnostic, consultative and therapeutic services for treatment of routine and complex disorders

  • Outpatient imaging services, includes two 3-Tesla MRIs, one Wide Bore 3-Tesla MRI and one non-wide bore 1.5-Tesla MRI

  • Research opportunities available with the Houston Methodist Research Institute

  • Strong neuroscience program coordinator and marketing support

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical school

  • Completion of residency in Neurology from an accredited program

  • Board certification or eligibility in Neurology

  • Valid TX medical license

  • Excellent clinical skills, including history-taking, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
