What is a wellness writer?

A Wellness Writer creates content focused on health, wellness, and lifestyle topics, often for blogs, websites, magazines, or social media. What types of content do wellness writers typically produce, and how collaborative is the work environment?

Wellness Writers commonly create articles, blog posts, newsletters, social media content, and sometimes guides or eBooks focused on health, nutrition, mental well-being, and lifestyle topics. The role is often highly collaborative, involving regular feedback and brainstorming with editors, medical professionals, marketing teams, and sometimes graphic designers to ensure accuracy and engagement. Wellness Writers are expected to balance creativity with research-based accuracy while adapting their writing to different audiences and media formats. This collaborative environment fosters professional growth and helps writers stay current with industry trends and evidence-based practices.
