Art Harper Saturday Academy Program Coordinator Part Time (Fixed Term)

The Art Harper Saturday Academy(the Academy)is a multi-year program designed to inspire and prepare high school students to pursue post-secondary education and careers in STEM related fields.The Academy willoutreachtohigh school students who otherwise may not have considered a career in the STEM or relatedfield butdisplay the potential to master the subject areasrequiredto excel in the fields.

The core elements of the Academyarea math course, project design course, and workshops that will teach the foundational concepts of these subjects needed to succeed at thecollegiatelevel. In addition, the students will receive academic support to improve their high school mathematics skills, exposure to STEM fields, and opportunities for practical applications of their academic skills.

PositionOverview:

TheProgramCoordinatorfor the Art Harper Saturday AcademywillassisttheDirectorwith theimplementation,marketing, organization,staffing,andoverall programmingoftheArt Harper Saturday Academy.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Providedirect support to theDirector ofUndergraduate OutreachPrograms

  • Collaborate with the social media intern tomanage theAcademy'ssocialmediaplatforms

  • Designmarketingoutreachcampaigns

  • Supervise and collaborate withthestudenttutor teamto help prepare and execute successful professional development,college prep sessions, andextracurricular eventsfor program participants

  • Providegeneral supportto allteaching staff as requested

  • Liaise with participants' parents/guardians, sponsors/donors,andcommunity partners

  • Develop andmaintainthe alumni network by managing the alumni database, coordinating networking opportunities, andidentifyingways to amplify alumni success stories

  • Assistinthedevelopmentandgrowthofdepartmentalinitiativesandresponsibilities

  • Providegeneral supportfor the Stevens pre-college summer program

  • Support Undergraduate Admissions and Enrollment Management events as needed, including all-hands-on-deck activities and divisional initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, STEM, or a related fieldOR equivalent experiencerequired

  • Ability to manage group dynamics and foster a welcoming and inclusive program culture

  • Strong written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillspreferred

Compensation Range

In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act, the hourly base range for this position is $25.00 -$30.00. This range represents the University's good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget, qualifications, and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation, such as incentives, stipends, or other applicable pay components.
