Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Oregon
Job Description: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Oregon, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients in an acute care hospital setting. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of perioperative care, including managing patients undergoing moderate sedation, preparing the operating room, administering medications aseptically, and assisting with surgical procedures. You will also be involved in patient assessment, care planning, and interdisciplinary coordination to provide the highest quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patients undergoing moderate sedation, including medication administration and airway management.
  • Prepare the operating room, ensure the availability of instruments and supplies, and maintain a sterile field.
  • Assist with patient induction anesthesia and surgical site preparation while preserving patient privacy.
  • Monitor the surgical field, anticipate the needs of the surgical team, and assist with room turnover.
  • Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to establish nursing diagnoses and care plans.
  • Implement individualized care, administer medications, and perform various nursing procedures.
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions, tests, medications, and wellness promotion.
  • Supervise and direct unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure optimal patient care.
Requirements:
  • Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years (REQUIRED).
  • Circulate experience in General, Ortho, Urology, OB/GYN, ENT, and Robotics (REQUIRED).
  • Strong Ortho experience (REQUIRED).
  • ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications (REQUIRED).
  • Valid Oregon state nursing license (REQUIRED).
