Job description

At Spencer Wellness Centre, our providers use an integrative health approach, specializing in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, thyroid optimization, and adrenal function. We also offer aesthetics services, various types of PRP treatments, specialty testing, and IV Therapy.

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of a fast-paced office. This position is best fitted for a detail oriented, self-motivated individual that is an efficient multi-tasker, has great prioritization skills, and is passionate about building rapport with patients. You will support practitioners and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Complete patient intake, document medical history and obtain vitals

· Administer injections and educate patients on self-injections

· Review consent forms with patients

· Update and file medical records and insurance reports

· Obtain and send laboratory reports, imaging, and referrals

· Assist during medical examinations and procedures

· Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms

· Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

· Prep schedule in advance and ensure all lab results are on file

· Manage supplies inventory

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

· Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent

· 2+ years’ experience as a medical assistant preferred

· Excellent time management skills

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize work

· Social perceptiveness and service oriented

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational and planning skills

· Provide excellent care while building rapport with patients

HOURS:

Monday-Thursday 7:45am - 5:00pm with flexibility to stay until patients are finished each day, arrive early if needed to prepare for the day.

Our office hours are Monday through Thursday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

LOCATION:

This position is primarily at our Indianapolis location, however all employees must be flexible and able to cover both locations as needed.
