You are the dynamic, passionate Medical Assistant we are looking for. Your expertise and professionalism is what our patients need at our behavioral health office located at our Indy South location located in Indianapolis, IN. You will be integral in providing professional medical care as a Medical Assistant to behavioral healthcare patients. Our commitment to whole person healthcare and your desire to help change our communities for the better will make us an amazing Team!
Medical Assistant Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking vitals and weight
  • Giving injections
  • Assist providers
  • Pass medications
  • Answering phone calls
  • greeting clients
  • updating patient information
  • filling out insurance paperwork and prior approvals,
  • helping the provider to complete arrangements for referrals, admissions and laboratory referrals.
  • Screen provider phone calls and assist with problem calls
  • Give TB tests for employees
  • Dispose of contaminated supplies
  • Fax and phoning in of patient medications to pharmacies
  • Maintain confidentiality and use good judgment within the limits of the CMA guidelines and follow department policies and procedures

We Value Your Medical Assistant Experience and Education:
  • Medical Assisting Diploma required--but we welcome new grads!
  • Certified Medical Assistant with six months to 1 year experience in a clinical setting preferred.
