Job Description

DUTIES: Wellmark, Inc. seeks a Facets Integration Software Engineer based out of our office at 1331 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address.

Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, debug, and document complex integration solutions into Wellmark’s Facets platform for multiple business domains, including Claims, Membership, Billing, and Benefits. Ensure Facets integration solutions are efficient and cost effective and in support of Wellmark’s business strategy and Technology vision. Collaborate with Technology and business units on Facets integration solution design and implementation to ensure solutions meet project specifications, requirements, and Wellmark software architectural standards. Use expertise in JavasScript, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, and AWS Lambda software development technology stacks to lead development, and code testing and debugging of Facets application integrations for project enhancements and/or production support issues. Contribute to Facets integration solutions architecture deliverables and decisions, through interpretation of architectural diagrams as inputs to the design deliverable. Use expertise of Facets application platform to help ensure Facets integration solutions for multiple applications appropriately satisfy business requirements (including Claims, Membership, Billing, and Benefits). Support the gathering of information, research needed for root cause analysis, problem definition and formulation, solution implementation, verification, and ongoing optimization. Provide analysis of defects to find root cause. Provide recommended solution(s) that promote successful delivery of business project objectives or production support objectives and support benefits realization. Identify issues and think through challenges in the form of options and solutions. Partner with others to identify resolutions to known issues, impacts to project or production outcomes if not resolved, and determine when to escalate as necessary. Ensure analysis of defects to find root cause and guide other in the identification of potential improvement opportunities. Communicate and provide regular updates and key information in a timely manner to leadership as well as the appropriate stakeholder audience. Collaborate and work as a team to accomplish goals and/or solve problems. Participate in project proposals, estimates, and proof-of-concept activities as needed. Maintain awareness and continuous education of industry best practices and standards, and utilize emerging technologies relative to role. Reduce reliance on third-party consultants by maintaining key Facets platform integration expertise in-house.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS (Management Information Systems), Information Systems, or related field of study and 36 months of experience in the job offered or related position.

Experience must include:

36 months of experience in software development and configuration required in Dynamics CRM;

24 months of experience with design and development in REACT, Angular, NodeJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, .NET, Java, and SQL;

Experience troubleshooting and developing creative technical solutions;

Experience gathering information, performing research needed for root cause analysis, conducting problem definition and formulation, and recommending solution implementation, verification, and ongoing optimization, using data to support recommendations.
