Water Well Service & Repair Assistant

No Water Well Experience Required

Ballard Water Well Company is a trusted, family-operated water well drilling and service company that has served Houston and surrounding communities since 1979. Our office and shop are located in Willis, Texas.

We are hiring a dependable, self-motivated Water Well Service & Repair Assistant to help diagnose, repair, install, and maintain residential and commercial water well systems.

This is a hands-on field position for someone who enjoys mechanical work, troubleshooting, working outdoors, and learning a skilled trade. Previous water well experience is not required. We provide safety training and practical, on-the-job training alongside experienced service technicians.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist technicians with diagnosing and repairing water well systems.
  • Help remove, install, and replace submersible pumps, motors, pipe, wire, pressure tanks, controls, and related equipment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting low pressure, no-water conditions, electrical problems, leaks, and equipment failures.
  • Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools, parts, and service equipment.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Back up and help position service trailers.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites.
  • Communicate respectfully with technicians, customers, and team members.
  • Follow company safety procedures and technician instructions.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver license required.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to report to work on time and ready to work.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, mud, and changing weather conditions.
  • Basic mechanical ability and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work safely and cooperatively as part of a team.
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical work, pumps, construction, equipment repair, or water wells is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to back up a trailer is strongly preferred.
