Systems Analyst - Digital Transformation
Job Description
Department: Information Technology
Job Status: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Salary-Exempt
Reports To: Enterprise Digital Transformation Supervisor
Location: The Woodlands, TX
Amount of Travel Required: 5% - 10%
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Systems Analyst will partner closely with Business Analysts (BAs) and the internal Digital Technology team to translate business requirements into clear, complete, and actionable technical requirements and solution designs. The Systems Analyst serves as the technical liaison between the BAs and delivery teams and is responsible for evaluating solutions, documenting system and integration designs, and supporting implementation activities across the SDLC. This role focuses on implementing systems and applications for the business and designing integrations with the enterprise ERP platform, while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
  • Work closely with Business Analysts to understand objectives, scope, and success criteria for system and application initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements, including functional specifications, configuration requirements, and non-functional requirements (performance, security, and supportability).
  • Create and maintain solution design documentation, including system context diagrams, process flows, data flow diagrams, interface specifications, and API contracts.
  • Collaborate with the internal Digital Technology team to assess solution options (build vs. configure vs. buy), evaluate technical feasibility, and recommend architectures that align with enterprise standards.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to identify integration points and upstream/downstream dependencies.
  • Design and document integrations between enterprise systems and Oracle Fusion, ensuring data validation, reconciliation, and logging/monitoring are addressed.
  • Support the delivery lifecycle by defining technical acceptance criteria and partnering with developers through build and system testing.
  • Work closely with Data Analysts and Technical Developers to ideate on solutions, user acceptance testing, and project time frame for analytics and reporting projects.
  • Ensure solution documentation is current and accessible; provide knowledge transfer to support teams and business super users as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Daily overtime required and in person, predictable attendance in The Woodlands, TX.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required. Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3 year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, business analytics, or related fields required. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a solutions analyst, systems analyst, or technical business analyst role supporting enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on experience translating business requirements into technical requirements and solution designs, including integration specifications, testing, and deployment support.
  • Experience working in Agile project environments (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), product development lifecycle, and Azure DevOps as a project management system.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure) and modern integration tooling is preferred.
  • May be required to perform or learn some technical functions at a modest to reasonable level.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
  • ERP & Integration Expertise: Experience supporting or implementing enterprise systems; familiarity with ERP Systems (Oracle Fusion) and common integration patterns (APIs, files, events).
  • Solution Design: Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical requirements and solution design artifacts that developers can implement without ambiguity.
  • Systems Thinking: Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, data flows, and system interactions; ability to identify impacts across applications.
  • Testing & Quality: Experience defining technical test scenarios, supporting SIT/UAT, and ensuring requirements traceability through delivery.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues across configurations and integrations.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
  • Methodology: Solid understanding of SDLC and experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks; experience using Atlassian Jira/Confluence.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA): preferred
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP): preferred
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library): preferred
  • Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT): preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP): preferred
  • Enterprise application / ERP certifications (Oracle Fusion or related): preferred

The Business Analyst may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, the Systems Analyst must be able to lift 25lbs.
Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination, depending on job demands.
