The Welding Sales Representative plays a key role in driving growth by combining deep welding trade knowledge with a passion for innovative technology. In this customer focused position, you will execute the Welding Sales Strategy through solution based, consultative selling techniques that strengthen relationships, expand market presence, and uncover new opportunities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Establishes new prospects through cold calls, trade shows, site visits, school visits, and other interactions.
  • Generates new business opportunities from existing customers, prospective clients, and other channels.
  • Maintains current customers by keeping in contact and reacting to their needs and challenges quickly and efficiently.
  • Develops personal expertise with key elements of our product line in order to perform sales demonstrations along with purposeful discussions with weld operators, engineers and management concerning new equipment purchases and upgrades.
  • Researches prospects and opportunities to determine potential fit and sales opportunities.
  • Organizes and facilitates sales, technical, and learning resources for prospects and customers.
  • Conducts welding equipment demonstrations and product trials-either on-site or at a Fronius USA facility-to address identified challenges and highlight business value
  • Serves as a trusted business and welding consultant, guiding prospects and customer in selecting the most effect solutions for their specific needs.
  • Functions as a trusted business and welding consultant by assisting prospects and customers choose the best solution for their business.
  • Actively influences multi-level decision makers by linking product value to customer pain points and business challenges
  • Coordinates budgets, forecasts, and reports with relevant Regional Sales Manager
  • Develops and implements account plans within respective responsibilities for national, international, and global accounts
  • Builds and manages a stable sales pipeline that ensures consistent sales growth through the entire sales cycle
  • Constantly monitors every sales opportunity for viability and actively nurtures them to successful completion.
  • Evaluates win/loss ratios regularly and develops strategies for improvement.
  • Maintains awareness of global, national, regional, and individual sales goals and maintains a successful strategy to meet or exceed each one.
  • Assists in the development of new sales literature, ads, training materials, and press releases.
  • Monitors customers and markets for potential shortcomings in the product line and communicates these to the National Support Group.
  • Participates in trade fairs, seminars, and professional organizations at local, regional, and national levels when required.
  • Assesses the scope of technical, sales, and training requests to determine whether to handle them directly or delegate to the appropriate expert.
  • Utilizes a follow-up process to monitor customer sales, support and training requests from inception to completion.
  • Formulates clear verbal and written communication to ensure objectives are met in sales, technical, and business environments.
  • Manages challenges effectively, positively, and professionally; and promotes teamwork to achieve established goals and objectives
  • Records all customer-related activities in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform including leads, opportunities, appointments, calls and on-site reports.
  • Offers Industrial Welding Systems (IWS) for manual and robotic three phase industrial environments.
  • Investigates customer challenges and offers solutions to overcome objectives
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage and complete projects of varying durations, from short-term initiatives to long-term strategic efforts
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid passport, or have the ability to obtain and pay for a valid passport
  • Regular Travel
  • Willing and authorized to travel throughout the USA
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Experience in the field and/or associate degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Spanish and/or German a plus
  • Strong knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, CRM 360 dynamics preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely, as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Possess a high degree of problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to perform a MIG sales weld (6" Flat Weld)

  • Must comply with all safety and health standards established by Fronius USA, LLC and federal, state, or local requirements.
  • Employees could be required to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Employees will perform duties in an office environment and a field setting.
  • Employees will be occasionally exposed to tripping hazards.
