Note: As a union-based employer, we are unable to guarantee any shift preference following initial training on day shift. Shift preference is granted by seniority. All candidates should expect to work afternoon shift or night shift at some point following initial training.

Day Shift: Monday – Friday: 6AM to 2PM/7 AM to 3 PM

Pay Rate: $33 per Hour

Position Overview

The Fabricator supports production and maintenance operations by performing fabrication, repair, and light blacksmithing work on
tooling, dies, and production support equipment throughout the facility. This position assists with heating, forming,
cutting, welding, repairing, and shaping metal components using blacksmith and fabrication equipment, including
learning to safely operate a small steam hammer. The role requires independent work with minimal supervision,
strong creativity, attention to quality, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Employees in this role are expected to safely work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment while supporting
production needs and maintaining safety standards.

General Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Knowledge of metal fabrication, equipment repair, and welding processes
• Experience with torches, welders, and grinders in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components to meet quality and safety standards
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area
• Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects on schedule
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• 2+ years of experience in Fabricating
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, work orders, and perform shop math.
• Proficiency using welding tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork mindset.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand majority of shift.
• Job involves frequent standing, walking, twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing steps, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout shift.
• Must be able to tolerate extreme heat in summer months and extreme cold during winter months.
