Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To act as a focal point in the Maintenance Department during off shifts, to help make sure that the directions from management are carried out.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Performs diagnostic troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Monitors, reports and documents the ABB PM program.
  • Observes, reports and documents the OEE program along with the Work Procedures and the Inventory Control System.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years industrial maintenance and one (1) year PLC programming/troubleshooting experience required. Associates degree and one (1) year PLC programming preferred. Must have three (3) years of experience in each of the following areas: fabricating, machine shop skills, electrical, pneumatics, computers, welding and rigging. A good work ethic for daily physically and mentally challenging work is needed. Good oral and written communication skills required. Attention to detail is critical. Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

Mental Functions

Repetitive job requiring frequent, but not more than normal mental or visual effort or alertness.

Physical Functions

Frequently (34 - 66%) required to walk. Occasionally (0 - 33%) required to sit, stand climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.

EQUIPMENT USED

General office equipment, welder, mill, lathe and cutting equipment. All basic and power hand tools are also used.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

None required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to speak, read and comprehend English.
