Job description

Job Title: Welder Helper

Job Description

We are actively seeking a Welder Helper to support fabrication and welding operations in our Cape Canaveral facility. This role is crucial in assisting skilled welders with the production of aerospace components used in launch vehicles and ground support equipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a high-performance manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist certified welders with setup, preparation, and execution of welding tasks.
  • Prepare materials for welding including cleaning, grinding, cutting, and fit-up.
  • Move and stage materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate basic shop tools such as grinders, saws, and measuring devices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Support weld inspections by prepping parts and documenting work as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with welders, supervisors, and team members to meet production goals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cocoa, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
