Job description

Classification – non-exempt

Schedule: 10 hours shifts Monday-Thursday, Friday as needed for production completion.

Job Summary: This position will manage the welding team and oversee scheduling and day-to-day production activities. Ensure the production line is operational and maintains the ongoing production of products. Assist with hiring and training new employees. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Responsibilities: Overseeing the welding processes and procedures in factory production operations. Evaluating each production process to maintain optimum efficiency. Enforce all safety policies on wearing safety glasses and steel-toed boots on the production floor. Creating and overseeing employee training to increase production, enhance safe operations and ensure profitability. Maintaining communication between management and employees to ensure that necessary policies are understood and followed. All other duties as assigned.

Skills: Ability to create and adhere to effective schedules. Strong organizational skills. Ability to stand for long periods on solid surfaces. Firm understanding of safety regulation including OSHA. Ability to read Material Safety Data Sheets. Ability to complete reports accurately. Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing on solid ground. Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds at times.
