We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Welder Helper / Shop Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in a welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial shop environment and be comfortable working with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist welders and fabricators with daily shop operations.
  • Prepare, move, and organize materials for welding and fabrication.
  • Load and unload steel, sheet metal, pipe, and other materials.
  • Assist with measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting materials.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools.
  • Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding.
  • Assist with setting up welding equipment and work areas.
  • Help welders position and secure materials.
  • Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and instructions.
  • Assist with general labor and other shop duties as needed.
  • Work efficiently to help meet daily production goals.


Qualifications

  • Previous shop, welding helper, fabrication, or general labor experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication is a plus.
  • Experience using hand and power tools preferred.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial shop environment.
  • Good attendance and dependable work ethic.
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
