Cypress, TX - Hourly Range $17-$28


Job Brief

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various welding and fabrication tasks to assemble pressure vessels, structural components, and related equipment in accordance with ASME code and detailed shop drawings. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet production and quality standards.


Responsibilities

  • Perform welding using FCAW, GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and/or SMAW processes as required
  • Weld pressure vessels, shells, heads, nozzles, attachments, and structural components in compliance with ASME code and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications), and PQRs (Procedure Qualification Records)
  • Execute full penetration welds on plate and pipe in multiple positions (1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 6G as required)
  • Prepare materials by grinding, fitting, beveling, and cleaning joints prior to welding
  • Collaborate with fitters, supervisors, and quality control inspectors to meet production schedules and quality expectations
  • Assist with hydrotest preparation and perform weld repairs as needed
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper setup and machine settings
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Proficiency in multiple welding processes, including FCAW, TIG, MIG, and Stick
  • Strong understanding of ASME codes and standards (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding documentation
  • Experience performing welds in various positions (1Gโ€“6G)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting, standing, and working in various conditions
