We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining various metals to meet specific project specifications, while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. You will prepare metals and work surfaces for welding, ensuring a safe and effective assemblage process.

Your ability to accurately interpret blueprints and specifications will be crucial in guiding your welding operations. Additionally, you will perform regular cleaning and inspection of welding equipment and tools to maintain optimal performance. Troubleshooting and diagnosing welding issues will be key components of your responsibilities. As a mentor, you will train and guide MIG Welders I and II, sharing your expertise and best practices to foster their development and ensure quality workmanship. Job Duties

• Select, measure, cut, and join appropriate metals to specifications while ensuring safe and effective assemblage.
• Prepare metals and work surfaces for welding, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Accurately interpret specifications and blueprints to guide welding processes.
• Regularly clean and inspect welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose issues and troubleshoot welding problems as they arise.
• Train and mentor MIG Welder I and II, providing guidance on techniques and best practices.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Indoor environment: cold, heat, dust, fumes, airborne particles, minimal to moderate noise levels, machinery, moving equipment.
• Safety requirements: safety glasses, hearing protection, protective footwear, and gloves.
• Additional protective equipment may be required depending on the task or job duty performed.
• Fast-paced dynamic environment.

SALARY RANGE

$20 - $33 per hour.
