MK Power is a growing electrical contractor serving Salt Lake City, Park City, and surrounding communities. We perform residential and commercial electrical work, including service calls, remodels, tenant improvements, service upgrades, troubleshooting, custom homes, multifamily projects, and commercial construction.

Position Summary

MK Power is seeking a dependable and motivated Utah Journeyman Electrician or fourth-year Apprentice Electrician with strong field experience.

The ideal candidate can work independently within the scope of their license and experience, solve problems in the field, communicate professionally with customers and project partners, and complete high-quality residential and commercial installations.

This position includes service work, troubleshooting, remodels, tenant improvements, service upgrades, and new construction throughout the Salt Lake Valley and Park City areas.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot residential and commercial electrical systems
  • Complete service calls, remodels, tenant improvements, electrical upgrades, and new construction work
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and electrical drawings
  • Install panels, feeders, branch circuits, lighting, controls, and distribution equipment
  • Bend and install EMT, rigid conduit, and other raceway systems
  • Diagnose electrical problems and complete repairs safely and efficiently
  • Plan assigned work, identify required materials, and communicate project needs
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites
  • Guide and mentor less-experienced apprentices when assigned
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, inspectors, and coworkers
  • Follow NEC requirements, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards
  • Accurately document completed work and report job progress

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • Hold a current Utah Journeyman Electrician license; or
  • Be a registered fourth-year Utah Apprentice Electrician with substantial residential and commercial field experience

All applicants must also have:

  • Experience performing both residential and commercial electrical work
  • Strong troubleshooting and conduit-bending skills
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision appropriate to their license and experience
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the company
  • The ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Standard electrical hand tools
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills
  • Dependable attendance, a strong work ethic, and pride in workmanship
