We're looking to hire a talented Robotics Application Engineer. Reporting to the Technical Solutions Director, the Robotics Application Engineer is a technical, customer-facing advisory position designed to support and grow sales within a defined region. This position acts as a key liaison to leverage our robust portfolio of products, equipment, PPE and services to solve clients' diverse business challenges.

Primary Duties
  • Acts as the lead technical liaison working with the global workflow solutions team to identify new opportunities, conduct demonstrations and facilitate training exercises with the goal of growing sales within the US Region.
  • Provides technical consultation on welding applications, automated and semiautomated equipment, and how they fit in the fabrication processes.
  • Conducts on-site evaluations, product demonstrations and trials to support customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are tailored to customer applications.
  • Develop technical presentations and proposals to support the sales team in delivering quotes that meet customer needs.
  • Assists in onboarding new clients and supporting them through the implementation phase.
  • Shares technical knowledge freely within team and helps to raise the technical aptitude in the region.
  • Maintains accurate records in CRM and prepares regular customer site visit reports.
  • Represents the company at trade shows, industry events, and training sessions as needed
  • Assists with the responses to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Supports the quoting process for customer acquisition.
  • Participates in projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of automated GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW-P and Plasma welding experience.
  • Previous experience in, application support, equipment trouble shooting, and training within the welding/fabrication industry strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of weld processes (GMAW, GTAW, PAW) on stainless, nickel, and low alloy materials and fabrication techniques required.
  • Experience with automation or robotic welding systems, a plus.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, combined with the demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated, works independently with minimal supervision and raises issues, challenges and/or concerns - while bringing solutions - proactively.
  • CRM experience tracking demo's, call reports, and opportunities.
  • Ability to read architectural, mechanical and electrical blueprints and have a solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical control systems required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions
  • Combination of office work, travel and customer site visits (including sitting in meetings, walking factory floors, climbing stairs, utilizing computers and electronics).
  • Exposure to industrial environments; must adhere to all PPE requirements during site visits, training and demonstrations.
  • Moves, transports, installs or removes equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Pushes and pulls products weighing up to 50 lbs. using provided safety tools.
  • May be exposed to varying weather during travel.
  • Able to travel up to 75%, including overnight, as needed.
