Position Summary:

The Welder works in a fast-paced, results-oriented production environment and is responsible for reporting on a variety of items, including garbage, recycling, yard waste containers, vehicle assemblies, and facilities components.

Your Role:

  • Repairs, modifies, or fabricates a variety of metal work,k including waste containers, vehicle assemblies, and facility components.
  • Cuts, fits, and welds using gas and electric equipment.
  • Performs skilled brazing and soldering.
  • Uses a variety of machines and equipment in and out of repair areas.
  • May operate heavy equipment as needed.
  • Take an active role in the improvement of safety and health in the workplace.
  • Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.
  • Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.

Your Skills:

  • Knowledge of tools and methods of gas and electric welding
  • Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Ability to take and understand oral instructions.
  • Reliability and dependability.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of welding, fabrication, and painting experience
  • Knowledge of and appreciation for safe work habits
  • Forklift experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Gritty, outgoing, and eager to learn.
  • The environment is fast-paced, and the person in this role must be proactive, hardworking, highly organized, and an independent critical thinker.
