Job Description
This role involves setting up and operating a robotic welder to produce high-quality metal components. You will prepare materials, load fixtures, monitor welding operations, and perform basic quality checks to ensure each product meets specifications. You will also use hand and power tools, measure materials accurately, and adjust the welding equipment as needed to maintain consistent performance.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a robotic welder according to job specifications and production requirements.
- Prepare and stage materials, including selecting and loading the correct metal fixtures into the robotic welding machine.
- Monitor welding operations and adjust machine settings to maintain weld quality and consistency.
- Inspect finished products visually and with basic measurement tools to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform basic quality checks, including verifying dimensions with a tape measure and checking weld integrity.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to assist with material preparation, fixture adjustments, and finishing tasks.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on the robotic welder to resolve minor issues and maintain smooth production flow.
- Collaborate with team members and follow work instructions to meet production schedules and output targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Essential Skills
- Ability to set up and operate a robotic welder in a production environment.
- Experience using a tape measure accurately to verify dimensions and part specifications.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in metal fabrication and welding operations.
- Basic understanding of welding processes and weld quality requirements.
- Ability to adjust weld machine settings and perform basic troubleshooting on robotic welding equipment.
- Attention to detail when inspecting finished products and performing quality checks.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Any education, training, or certifications related to welding are a bonus.
- Overhead crane experience is a bonus.
- Experience in welding, spot welding, or metal fabrication is beneficial.
- Familiarity with robotic welding systems and automated production equipment is an advantage.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
