We are hiring a Weld Certification Instructor to join our team! The Weld Certification Instructor will train and administer weld certification test to new/existing welders on various equipment as required. Ensure employees follow all safety guidelines and train employees in the various weld procedures and the fabrication processes of products. Our facility is located at 45 Sutton Road| Verona, VA | 24482.

Starting Pay: $35.00 - 40.00

Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 6am - 4:30pm

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include but are not limited to years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc.

Responsibilities

Group Leader-Welder Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and instructs welders to successfully pass weld certifications.
  • Instructs welders in the safe operation of support equipment utilized in welding. Example: Grinder, wire wheel, flap disk.
  • Performs various weld test and evaluates for compliance to ASME Section VIII guidelines.
  • Issues appropriate initial PPE for welding personnel.
  • Maintains weld certifications for existing welding personnel.
  • Updates and monitors training records as required.
  • Monitors and orders consumables for the various welding processes in the training area.
  • Assist employees with process issues or re-train as necessary to meet quality and/or production goals.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Group Leader-Welder Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ASME Code
  • Minimum 5 years code welding experience
  • Demonstrate skill as an effective instructor
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office.
