We are seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our weight loss clinic team. In this role, you'll be an important part of helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals by providing hands-on clinical support, education, and encouragement throughout their weight management journey. Your expertise and patient-centered approach will help create a positive experience while supporting safe, personalized care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures
  • Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure
  • Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care
  • Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications
  • Valid and current licensure/certification in one of the following:
    • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Active/Unencumbered LPN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice.
    • OR Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate's Degree) required.
    • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:
      • National Healthcare Association
      • American Association of Medical Assistants
      • National Center for Competency Testing
      • National Certified Medical Assistant
      • National Association of Health Professionals
      • American Registry of Medical Assistants
      • American Allied Health
      • American Medical Technologists
  • Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
  • Familiarity with EPIC is a plus!
  • For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
