Position Summary:
The Production Operator is responsible for the efficient and accurate assembly, machining, and finishing of door components in a manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality and safety standards, and the ability to operate various production equipment and hand tools.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate machinery, power tools, and assembly equipment to manufacture doors according to production schedules.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure proper materials, measurements, and finishes.
  • Inspect parts and finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Handle and move raw materials, door slabs, frames, and hardware using appropriate lifting techniques or equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
  • Document production data, quality checks, and material usage as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, woodworking, or construction environment preferred.
  • Experience with doors, windows, or millwork production is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, blueprints, and measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Team-oriented with good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills preferred.

Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including safety toed shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, and gloves.
  • May require occasional overtime or weekend work to meet production demands.
