Job Title: Weekend CNC Machinist (Mill or Lathe) – HAAS

Job Description

This weekend CNC Machinist role focuses on setting up, operating, and editing programs on HAAS CNC mills or lathes while accurately applying customer specifications. You will work on a Friday–Sunday weekend shift in a climate-controlled environment, ensuring high-quality machining, adherence to safety standards, and continuous monitoring of machine performance.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply customer specifications to produce precise machined parts.
  • Enter detailed specifications and offsets into CNC machines accurately.
  • Set up tooling for CNC mills or lathes, including proper fixturing and alignment.
  • Set up, operate, and edit programs on HAAS CNC machines to meet production requirements.
  • Monitor the operation of CNC machines during production and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Use measurement tools such as micrometres to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet tolerances.
  • Follow 5S principles to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work area.
  • Perform machining tasks while strictly following all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot basic machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Handle complex machines and tools with care and precision.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status, issues, and improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
