Job description

This position would be responsible for supervision of employees in all production departments (Finish, Mills, Sheet Metal, Mechanical Assembly, Hydraulic Assembly) working on Weekend Shift, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Summary:
  • With the primary focus of this position being performance and operations supervision, set and enforce goals and metrics for each department in consultation with other shift supervisors and Operations Manager
  • Manage employee and program participant performance for swing shift
  • Handle scheduling, staffing and labor planning duties with consultation with other shift supervisors and Operations Manager to include approval of time cards and PTO requests in Paylocity
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards for all employees and program participants working on the stated shift
  • Escalate major issues immediately to other supervisors and Operations Manager
  • Conduct hiring and termination responsibilities in coordination with Human Resources
  • Conduct performance and disciplinary actions for supervised employees as needed and scheduled
  • Coordinate machine and tool maintenance with maintenance department
  • Schedule and conduct performance evaluations for employees as required
  • Ensure mentors complete program participant evaluations on time
