About the Role

North Country Property Maintenance Inc. is seeking motivated, reliable, and experienced individuals to join our winter snow removal team as Snow Removal Equipment Operators in the Wasaga Beach area.


This is a seasonal, on call position requiring availability during snow events, including early mornings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays when required. Successful candidates will play an important role in maintaining safe and accessible commercial and residential properties throughout the winter season by operating snow removal equipment safely and efficiently.


The expected start date for this position is November 15th, and there will be a mandatory, in person training session held mid October.


This position includes a guaranteed minimum of 10 hours per week during the winter season, with additional hours available during snow events.


Job Duties

  • Operate loaders, Kubota equipment, skid steers, and other snow removal machinery to complete winter maintenance services.
  • Safely clear parking lots, driveways, walkways, access roads, and other designated areas.
  • Perform pre operation and post operation equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain safe operating practices while working in changing winter weather conditions.
  • Complete assigned routes efficiently and in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitor site conditions and report hazards, property concerns, or equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members during snow events.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).


Requirements

  • Previous experience operating snow removal equipment such as loaders, skid steers, Kubota equipment, or similar machinery.
  • Valid driver's licence required; experience transporting equipment is considered an asset.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment independently in cold, snowy, and icy conditions.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to respond quickly when called for snow events.
  • Available for flexible scheduling, including early mornings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned reporting locations.
  • Must provide and wear CSA approved winter work boots and appropriate winter outdoor clothing.
