Unarmed Security Officer - Weekend Overnights
Reading, PA | Weekend Nights
Pay: $16.25/hour
+$0.25/hour military & active-duty differential
KRE Security, LLC is hiring Unarmed Security Officers for a permanent third-shift assignment in Reading, Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for dependable officers who prefer weekday overnight work, consistent hours, and a structured environment.
This is a steady, non-rotating post with clear procedures and predictable responsibilities.
Schedule - Third Shift
  • Monday-Friday
  • 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM
  • Consistent overnight schedule
  • No rotating shifts
  • Overtime available when applicable

What You'll Be Doing
  • Maintain a visible, professional security presence overnight
  • Conduct routine foot and mobile patrols
  • Monitor access points, alarms, and site conditions
  • Observe, document, and respond to incidents or safety concerns
  • Complete daily activity and incident reports (Belfry Software)
  • Enforce post orders, site policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, site contacts, and fellow officers

Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience preferred, not required, in:
    • Unarmed security
    • Military service
    • Law enforcement
  • Familiarity with patrol operations, access control, and incident reporting preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
  • Must pass a background check
  • Required in-person orientation prior to assignment

Pay & Benefits
  • $16.25/hour (site-specific rate)
  • +$0.25/hour for military veterans and active-duty service members
  • Overtime pay for hours worked over 40/week
  • Full-time eligibility at 30+ hours per week
  • Paid Time Off: 24 hours accrued after successful completion of probation
