Job Summary:

KanEquip has an immediate opening for a Service Writer to assist the Service Department with administrative duties and repair orders for agriculture and construction equipment.

 The ideal candidate has…

  • Experience in an agriculture equipment service department or an agricultural equipment dealership.
  • Expertise with computer system, including MS office and internet-based applications.
  • Ability to work seasonally extended hours during the week or weekends.
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle status- current driver’s license, and ability to operate motor vehicle *Ability to travel to company meetings and training events as needed.                                          

 You will contribute to our team by: (Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Coordinating with the Service Manager to assign jobs to technicians in the service department according to their skill and knowledge.
  • Assisting in supervision of technicians and ensuring excellent customer experience.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding service work and billing.
  • Maintaining a positive and professional working relationship with the service team, other dealership staff and venders.
  • Completing forms for service operations and warranty in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Promoting teamwork and communication through effective interaction with team members.
  • Managing service trucking and sales logistics.
  • Experience in an agriculture equipment service department or an agricultural equipment dealership.
  • Expertise with computer system, including MS office and internet-based applications.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a service department, preferably as a technician in an agricultural dealership.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of agricultural operations -farming background preferred.
  • Solid diagnostic and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers and employees
  • Ability to work extended hours during the week and on weekends
