Reports to: Harvesting Team Lead

Job Summary :

Prepare raw materials (Salmon) to convert in to a value added finished product with high

quality standard for human consumption by operating gutting, cleaning filleting grading

equipment, following the highest sanitary and food safety protocols, in a safe working

environment.

Job Description :

Core areas of responsibility are:

  • Operate slaughtering room equipment(s)
  • Gutting Salmon
  • Sort fish by quality and size
  • Operate filleting and trimming equipment(s)
  • Inspect products (quality control)
  • Pin boning and sanitize finished products
  • Weight, package and label
  • Palletized and load cold storage
  • Load trucks and deliver finished products
  • Operating a gutting machine, manually gutting, manually gilling, vacuuming guts.

Skills, competences, and knowledge to perform the work

  • High school desired
  • Background in fish processing is strongly desired
  • Background experience in food processing operations strongly desired
  • Forklift certification a plus
  • Experience with sharp tools a plus
  • Experience with assembly line work
  • Willingness to collaborate with team members
  • Ability to work in complex multi-tasking environments
  • Constant desire to learn and grow.

Work Environment
This job operates in a combined office and farm/production and construction environment.
