Job description

Are you looking for a clinical role where your care makes a direct impact every day? Woodlawn Healthcare in beautiful Skowhegan is hiring compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our nursing care team!

Key Responsibilities

  • RNs & LPNs:
    • Deliver direct clinical care, administer medications, and perform physician-ordered treatments.
    • Conduct resident assessments, track care plans, and chart clinical progress.
    • Provide daily mentorship and direction to CNAs and nursing team members.
    • Collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary staff, and resident families.
  • CNAs:
    • Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, dining, and mobility).
    • Check and document vital signs, reporting any changes in resident condition to unit nurses.
    • Foster a safe, clean, and comforting environment that honors resident dignity.

Qualifications

  • RN / LPN: Active Maine RN or LPN license (or active compact state license).
  • CNA: Active state certification on the Maine CNA Registry.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to senior care.
  • *Salary range provided is for entry level C.N.A. to experienced RN

Woodlawn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is located at 59 West Front Street in Skowhegan, Maine and offers both private and semi-private rooms for up to 46 residents.

By virtue of our small size, Woodlawn’s guests are afforded a personalized, intimate, home-like environment to receive their healthcare services. We provide a superior group of physicians, nurses and nursing assistants who work together as a team to create a positive and healthy environment. Residents are warmly regarded and share relationships with employees of other departments as well, including dietary personnel, housekeeping and laundry, medical records, business managers and social workers. We take enormous pride in our family-like setting and consider it an asset. At the same time our experienced staff follow evidenced based clinical best practices designed to keep you healthy.
