Job description

You will be the Wind Tunnel Engineer - Level 4 for the Aerodynamics Test Team which is responsible for delivering highfidelity windtunnel testing and aerodynamic research for government and commercial programs.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Wind Tunnel Engineer - Level 4 you will be responsible for leading technical efforts in onsite aerodynamic labs while supporting a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinate with internal LockheedMartin customers to define test schedules, requirements, and technical approaches.
Guide model design, fabrication, instrumentation, and installation using mechanicaldesign expertise and CATIA modeling.
Plan and track project performance, budgets, and schedules to align with functional organization goals.
Maintain and enhance custom LabVIEWbased software, supporting dataacquisition hardware, motioncontrol, and pressuremeasurement systems.
Enforce rigorous safety standards across large wind tunnels, smaller aerodynamic labs, and associated highpressure/vacuum equipment.

You are a collaborative leader with proven experience in windtunnel and aerodynamiclab environments. Your background includes strong mechanicaldesign skills, handson model development, and proficiency with LabVIEW and CATIA. You communicate clearly with customers and crossfunctional teams, prioritize safety, and mentor engineers at all career stages. A willingness to learn from subjectmatter experts and drive continuous improvement defines your impact.
