Job description

Title: Welder
Location: Woodburn, OR


Wilson Construction has an immediate opening for a Welder. This position will work with a team of welders under the direction of the Welder Foreman on specialized welding projects and equipment repairs. We pride ourselves on producing high quality products for our internal customers in a safe work environment.


Requirements:
High School Diploma;
1 year minimum welding experience;
Experience with basic welding tools (drill press, band saw, iron worker, cutting torch);
Mechanical aptitude;
Engineering/Structural aptitude;
Creativity and ability to think outside of the box;
Must be able to follow basic instructions and plans through to completion of projects;
Ability to perform tasks in a safe manner and maintain safe work environment; and
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.


Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry the same for short distances and up and down stairs and steep inclines.
Ability to sit in awkward positions for long periods, standing on a variety of surfaces and at differing angles, bending over, crouching and climbing up and over various equipment.
