Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for technical, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical support, troubleshooting and repair of all plant welding and assembly equipment.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to :
  • Installing, repairing, servicing machinery and equipment support systems
  • Identifying and trouble-shooting production problems
  • Maintaining production lines, perform predictive and preventive maintenance.
  • Supporting daily production, addressing downtime, correcting and resetting faults, replacing Sensors , Cords , Caps , shunts , etc…….In a timely manner.
  • Assuring all automatic nut/stud feeders are stocked verifying correct Part # and free of debris before filling machine.
  • Assuring all Sealer/Adhesive is working properly ,purged as required and replaced when needed.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices along with all Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Comply with all Quality System procedures , assure Red Rabbits are ran and recorded each shift , properly communicate any abnormal event if required to appropriate personnel.
  • Ability to understand, record, and communicate system problems and solutions.
  • Perform weld robot program touch ups.
  • Perform weld robot programming for prototype work.
  • Assemble and robotically weld prototype parts.
  • Demonstrate good attendance with the ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Managers, Supervisor and/or Leaders to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of products, processes and work.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES / EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  1. Must be able to work in environment with welding fumes from robots.
  2. Industrial equipment electrical troubleshooting and installation
  3. A sound understanding of welding fundamentals and theory.
  4. Robot programming and troubleshooting of the following equipment:
  5. FANUC and/or ABB, MOTOMAN, NACHI , KUKA
  6. Demonstrate good problem solving skills
  7. Able to understand and troubleshoot basic electrical components and schematics
  8. Troubleshoot, repair, and install hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems
  9. Troubleshoot, repair and program resistance and MIG welding equipment
  10. Perform basic machining
  11. Perform required Preventive Maintenance checks & related data assuring any related documentation is filled out properly
  12. Complete required logs and repair documentation assuring it is legible and accurate
  13. Knowledge of proper Lockout/Tagout procedures
  14. Work independently
  15. Execute all job responsibilities in accordance with Quality System requirements.
  16. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs., twist, bend, squat, climb, stand and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings.
  17. Related Work Experience – Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing welding maintenance.
  18. Minimum Education – H.S. Diploma or GED
  19. Must be able to work mandatory OT as required 6-7 days per week
