Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is critical in fabricating and assembling structural components using MIG welding techniques, ensuring precision, durability, and compliance with engineering specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Perform basic welding tasks under supervision (MIG, Stick, or Flux-Core)
  • Read and follow simple blueprints and work instructions
  • Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting components
  • Conduct basic weld inspections for appearance and obvious defects
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
  • Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements
  • All other duties assigned.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Global Code of Business Principles, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Vision and Values, Operational Framework

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
  • Familiarity with structural welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1 or equivalent).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and workplace safety practices.
  • AWS certification is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or welding certification preferred.
  • 0-2years of MIG welding experience, preferably in a structural or heavy fabrication setting.
