Job description

Carolina Waste, a Waste Connections company, is hiring immediately for a Compactor Repair Technician in North Charleston, SC!
If you have experience with electrical systems and welding, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, growing company that values safety, teamwork, and career development.
As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance of commercial trash compactors. This role also involves welding and electrical repairs on trash containers, compactors, and fleet equipment.
What You'll Do
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial compactors
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
  • Complete stick and MIG welding repairs
  • Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment

What We're Looking For
  • At least 1 year of experience with electrical wiring (non-automotive)
  • At least 1 year of stick and MIG welding experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills
  • PLC experience is a plus
