Are you an experienced welder looking for a stable first-shift opportunity with the potential for permanent employment? We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Welders to join a growing manufacturing team in Lenexa, KS. If you take pride in producing quality work and maintaining a safe work environment, we'd like to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities

As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components while ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Weld metal components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • Operate welding equipment safely while following all workplace safety procedures.
  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies using measuring and layout tools.
  • Inspect completed welds and workpieces for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Measure materials using straightedges, templates, calipers, rulers, and other precision tools.
  • Set up and operate hand and power tools commonly used in welding, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) equipment.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and production specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous welding experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems independently.
  • Ability to monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Good communication skills and legible handwriting for documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the majority of the shift.
