Weekend On Call Hospice Registered Nurse (PRN)

Per-visit pay, weekend on-call schedule.

LilyCare Hospice is a community-based hospice serving patients and families across central New Mexico. We focus on comfort, dignity, and personalized end-of-life care delivered wherever patients call home. As a growing agency, we keep caseloads manageable and our nurses well supported. LilyCare Hospice is seeking a Weekend On Call Hospice Registered Nurse (PRN) to cover our patients on weekends across central New Mexico.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • As our Weekend On Call Hospice Registered Nurse, respond to after-hours calls and triage patient and family needs throughout your weekend on-call shift

  • Make in-home visits as needed for symptom and pain management, comfort care, and crisis response

  • Complete hospice admissions and pronouncements as needed during on-call hours

  • Coordinate care and communicate changes with the interdisciplinary team and on-call physician

  • Document each call and visit accurately in the electronic health record per hospice requirements

  • Provide a clear handoff to the weekday team at the end of your coverage

Compensation and Schedule

  • $65–$150 per visit based on visit type

  • On call weekends, Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 8:30 AM (full or partial weekend coverage available)

  • PRN, as needed; no minimum weekday commitment

  • Field-based coverage across your assigned New Mexico territory

Skills and Qualifications

  • The ideal Hospice Registered Nurse holds an active New Mexico RN license in good standing (compact/multistate accepted)

  • Current AHA BLS/CPR certification

  • Hospice or home care experience preferred; comfortable working autonomously on call

  • Strong end-of-life symptom management and assessment skills

  • Valid NM driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle for home visits
