Job description

Description
Join a fast-paced, high-impact Emergency Veterinary Hospital where every shift matters — and every weekend role directly supports life-saving care.

Animal Emergency Center of Sandy Springs (AEC Sandy Springs)
is an emergency and critical care veterinary hospital serving the greater Atlanta area. We provide urgent, compassionate after-hours veterinary care when pets and families need us most.

We are currently hiring a Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative (CSR) with a dedicated Friday–Monday schedule, supporting our highest-volume emergency care periods.

This is an ideal opportunity for experienced veterinary client service professionals, veterinary receptionists, or healthcare front desk staff who thrive in emergency medicine, high-acuity environments, and emotionally meaningful work.
Why This Schedule Is a Unique Opportunity
(Friday–Monday Focus)

This is a full-time weekend-focused CSR role, designed for professionals who prefer:
  •  Consistent, structured scheduling
  •  Weekday flexibility (Tuesday–Thursday off)
  •  High-impact weekend ER experience
AEC Sandy Springs operates during peak emergency demand periods:
  • 24/7 Emergency Operations: Thursday 6:00 PM – Tuesday 8:00 AM
  • After-Hours Emergency Care: Tuesday–Thursday overnight coverage windows
This role focuses on Friday–Monday coverage, supporting our busiest and most critical patient care periods.
If you are energized by weekends, thrive in fast-paced environments, and want meaningful clinical impact — this schedule is a major advantage.

Your Role in Emergency Veterinary Medicine
In emergency medicine, a Veterinary Receptionist / CSR is a critical member of the care team, not just administrative support.

You are:
  •  The first point of contact during emergencies
  •  A calm, reassuring presence during high-stress moments
  •  A communication bridge between clients and medical teams
  •  A key contributor to patient flow and hospital efficiency
  •  Greet and triage incoming emergency patients
  •  Identify STAT cases and immediately alert medical staff
  •  Maintain calm, organized intake during high-pressure situations
  •  Guide pet owners through urgent medical situations
  •  Explain estimates, treatment plans, and hospital flow clearly
  •  Support families during end-of-life care and difficult decisions with empathy and professionalism
  •  Manage high-volume multi-line phone systems
  •  Accurately document client and patient information
  •  Process payments and maintain financial accuracy
  •  Maintain a clean, professional, welcoming reception area
  •  Partner closely with veterinarians and veterinary technicians
  •  Support efficient patient flow and communication
  •  Contribute to a respectful, accountable, high-performance team culture

What We're Looking For
Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable availability for overnight, evening, and weekend shifts
  • Ability to lift 30–50 pounds
  • Strong dependability and punctuality
Highly Preferred:
  • Experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or Veterinary CSR
  • Experience in emergency veterinary medicine or human healthcare
  • Background in high-volume medical or hospital environments
Core Traits for Success:
  • Calm under pressure
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Deep empathy and emotional maturity
  • Strong multitasking ability
  • High attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor in emotionally intense situations
Emergency medicine is not routine. It is unpredictable, fast-moving, and deeply meaningful. We are seeking individuals who respect that responsibility.

Why Join AEC Sandy Springs (Part-Time)?
As a Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative (CSR) at Animal Emergency Center of Sandy Springs, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and long-term career growth.
  •  Medical insurance
  •  Dental insurance
  •  Vision insurance
  •  Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for personal and professional support
  •  Competitive hourly pay based on experience
  •  401(k) retirement plan with employer match
  •  Employee pet care discounts
  •  Paid training and onboarding support
  •  Paid Time Off (PTO)
  •  Paid holidays (for eligible full-time employees)
  •  Consistent, structured Friday–Monday full-time schedule
  •  Ongoing training in emergency veterinary medicine and client service excellence
  •  Career advancement opportunities within the Innovetive Petcare veterinary network
  •  Exposure to high-acuity ER and critical care cases
  •  Development pathways for veterinary client service professionals seeking long-term growth
  •  Supportive, team-oriented emergency hospital culture
  •  Hands-on experience in a fast-paced 24/7 veterinary emergency environment
  •  Opportunity to play a critical role in life-saving veterinary care during high-volume weekend operations
If you are seeking a full-time weekend veterinary receptionist job in Sandy Springs or the Atlanta area, and you bring compassion, professionalism, and resilience to critical moments, we want to hear from you.
Apply today to join the Animal Emergency Center of Sandy Springs and support pets and families when they need it most.
