Job Title: Warehouse Lead
Department: Processing Operations
Location: Franklin, ID/ Lewiston, UT.
Reports To: Warehouse Operations Director
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $24.50-30.50 DOE
Job Summary
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efficient pulling, palletizing, and loading of products for customer orders. This role involves leading a team of warehouse associates, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining safety and efficiency in warehouse operations. The Lead plays a crucial role in optimizing warehouse processes and contributing to the overall success of shipping and receiving operations.
Essential Job Functions
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse associates
• Oversee the pulling and palletizing of orders, ensuring correct quantities and SKUs
• Manage the loading and unloading of refrigerated trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Train and mentor team members on warehouse operations and safety protocols
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize order fulfillment processes
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to order picking and loading
• Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layout and organization
• Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a culture of safety
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports
• Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of relevant experience with at least 4 years in warehouse operations
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks, with required certifications
• Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Ability to read and interpret pick sheets and use warehouse management software
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various climate conditions
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holiday hours as required based on production demand
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate's degree in Logistics or related field
• Experience with inventory management systems
• Knowledge of lean warehouse practices
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to cold environments due to refrigerated storage areas.
