Pennsylvania Steel has been in business since 1972 and has expanded to 12 locations, becoming one of the largest Steel Service Centers in the eastern United States.


The Naugatuck, Connecticut branch is looking for a Warehouse Worker for our 1st Shift.


This is a full time and permanent opportunity with our company.

Position Objective:


To contribute to the attainment of company sales and profitability by performing an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, processing material to customer's requirements or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
Position Responsibilities:


· Receiving and processing incoming stock
· Preparing and completing customer orders, include pulling
· Loading delivery trucks for customer delivery
· Keeping a clean and safe working environment
· Communicating and cooperating with supervisors and coworkers
· Operating and maintaining warehouse equipment
· Following the company's quality system
· Complying with all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes


Required Experience:
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
· Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8-10 hours daily
· Must be able to read measuring equipment (tape measure, caliper and micrometer)
· Must have acceptable mathematical skills
· Must be willing to be trained and operate industrial equipment including saws, cranes, and forklifts
· Must be willing to work overtime when required
· Previous work experience receiving, loading/unloading material, packing, labeling or picking within a warehouse environment a plus
