Job Purpose:
- The Part Time Warehouse Associate at Utah Food Bank plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission to alleviate hunger in Utah. This position is responsible for efficiently handling the movement, storage, and distribution of food products within the warehouse, ensuring that operations run smoothly and effectively to meet the needs of the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the receiving, unloading, and organizing of food donations and inventory.
- Ensure accurate labeling and storage of goods to maintain inventory integrity.
- Participate in the packing and preparation of food orders for distribution to partner agencies and clients.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse processes and improve efficiency.
- Support the implementation of warehouse policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Assist in periodic inventory counts and audits to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Provide excellent customer service to volunteers and visitors, promoting a positive image of Utah Food Bank.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
- Experience with inventory management systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations is beneficial.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
