Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our warehouse team as a Lumper. You will unload packages, materials, and pallets from arriving trucks and prepare all items for distribution and storage in our warehouse. This is a physically demanding position, and you need a keen eye for detail and a self-starting personality. Our ideal candidate has worked in a warehouse and has experience with loading, packing, and trucking. Experience as a forklift or pallet jack driver a plus. You must be able to stand, lift heavy items, and crouch for several hours a day.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Sort and segregate items per pallet into appropriate Ti/Hi
•    Palletizing products
•    Other tasks as assigned.
•    Transporting all products and materials.
•    Verify products, quantities, and order numbers correctly.
•    Move freight safety throughout the warehouse.
•    Other duties as assigned.
•    Operation reach truck.
•    Stacking products throughout warehouse as needed.
•    Put away pallets from the receiving dock.
•    Transporting product safely through the warehouse.
•    Storing pallets on warehouse shelves.
•    Maintaining clean, orderly workstation-returning supplies and merchandise to assigned locations
•    Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines
•    Maintain a safe and organized loading/unloading area
 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

HS Diploma or equivalent,
Basic math skills required
Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must have very strong urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines.
Requires the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables.
Ability to work independently.
Great communication skills.
Must have previous experience driving reach trucks and pallet jacks.

Physical Requirements:


Physical ability to lift, carry, and position: up to 20 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift.
Must be able to push/pull up to 150 lbs. occasionally
Confident and comfortable operating equipment at heights up to 30 feet
Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
