Job description

The Warehouse Associate -- Material Handler supports day-to-day warehouse and production material flow. This role is responsible for assisting in a variety of material handling duties including but not limited to; shipping and receiving, loading, and unloading products from trailer and moving materials within the facility by carrying or lifting, as well as operating forklifts and pallet jacks, stocking and storing materials, and fulfilling transfer orders as necessary while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Supplying and returning materials accurately from production lines safely and in a timely manner is essential to this role. This position reports to the Inventory Supervisor.
Job Duties:
  • Coordinate with supervisor to determine production materials that will be needed for scheduled production runs.
  • Complete RF transactions in real-time to maintain inventory accuracy, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other powered industrial trucks (PIT) in accordance with training, site rules, and OSHA requirements.
  • Perform receiving and shipping activities, including loading/unloading of trailers, verifying counts, and documenting product movement.
  • Pick, stage, stock, and transfer inventory using powered equipment and barcode scanning technology to execute system transactions accurately.
  • Maintain dock, staging, and warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and safety regulation to support safe operations and audit readiness.
  • Bale recyclable materials and dispose of waste using trash compactors and designated procedures while maintaining proper segregation and housekeeping.
  • Follow all safety procedures; continuously monitor work areas for hazards and report concerns, near misses, and incidents promptly.
  • Comply with all company policies, SOPs, quality standards, food safety requirements and GMP practices.
  • Assist with cycle counts, location audits, and other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
  • Supply production lines with correct packaging materials in the required quantities; stage materials in designated locations with strong attention to detail and teamwork.
  • Return unused packaging materials from production lines to the warehouse promptly and accurately, completing all required system transactions in a timely manner.
  • Transport pallets of finished goods to the dock for stretch wrapping, staging, and shipping; ensure pallets are secure.
  • Supply appropriate quantities of roasted coffee i to the production lines in a timely manner, utilizing FIFO methods to safeguard product freshness and prevent expiring products.
  • Demonstrate urgency and ownership by responding promptly to production requests and completing tasks accurately within required time frames.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience operating applicable PIT equipment
  • Minimum 1 year warehouse or manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years of powered lift truck experience
  • Ability to use basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow a schedule, as well as verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment.
